Elevado: healthy energy with a conscience

Elevado is an all natural energy drink that provides all of the lift of a coffee with a refreshing taste and benefits coffee growers in Latin America. 

​During production, a protective layer close to the coffee bean known as "mucilage" must be removed before the beans can dry. This layer is high in caffeine, naturally sweet, and loaded with antioxidants, and if strained and refined, creates a honey like substance. ​

During our work on coffee production, our team noticed the opportunity to bring this substance to the United States to give office workers  an afternoon energy boost.

We saw the opportunity to displace diet coke, redbull, and stale coffee with a product that was all natural, had equivalent caffeine to an espresso, utilized a byproduct that would bring another income stream to impoverished farmers in latin america
