Molecular Machines

The recent development of knowledge and technology has enabled us to work at the molecular level. This work holds great and largely untapped potential, and I would be thrilled to work towards its development. In my statement of purpose, I described my relevant experience in small and micro scale design. This page is dedicated to providing further information on those experiences.

- Cellular Surgery using Gallium Nitride Nanowires

This project was part of a senior level university course on micro and molecular scale biological engineering. A crash course in molecular biology and nano scale engineering, it provided me with the fundamentals to create a research proposal for cellular surgery based on the optical properties of gallium nitride nanowires. - Semiconductor test hardware design

Picture
A recent professional experience, my time designing and fabricating small scale products for the semiconductor industry was a great lesson in the challenges of small scale design and manufacture. It also demonstrated the potential benefits and rewards of overcoming those challenges, as the successes of several of these projects were substantial in large part because they addressed problems at fundamental size scales.
